Brad Beyenhof received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Point Loma Nazarene University, where he studied composition with Phillip Keveren. For a while he worked in educational publishing at the Neil A. Kjos Music Company, editing and engraving works by Bruce Pearson, Wendy Barden, Andrew Boysen, Scott Boerma, and others. Plagued by vocational indecision, he swapped his hobby and his profession in 2007 and began a career in information technology. He has continued to arrange, play, and sing with friends and in churches.
Mr. Beyenhof is honored to have his chamber music included on the program. No portion of *Ribbons of Thought* has been publicly performed in almost exactly twenty years, and he’s as excited as anyone reading this to hear his tritone-filled experiments in post-tonality, mathematical composition, and jazz harmony come to life once more.
