Andrew Young

Andrew Young was born and raised in Fresno, California before making his way to San Diego for his undergraduate studies. Since then, he has been a freelance horn player, music educator, and composer/arranger serving the San Diego and Los Angeles areas. Typical engagements range from studio recording sessions to music camps and masterclasses. When not working at his daytime job as a biochemist or writing new music for NOVA Horn Quartet and Sunshine Brass Quintet, he takes time to enjoy the abundant beauty of nature in Southern California. Always seeking to better himself and the musical community at large, Andrew makes efforts to support emerging artists, composers, and students alike in their pursuit of creative expression.
