Traci Huff

Viola

A native of Traverse City, MI, Traci Huff studied Viola Performance at Roosevelt University under Roger Chase. She was a member of the Traverse Symphony Orchestra from 2003-05, and recently recorded for the PBS series “Buildings and Moods”.

Traci has studied privately with Roger Chase, David Holland, Yukiko Ogura, and Christine Vlajk. She has also studied and performed as a member of the Maggiore String Quartet with the Penderecki String Quartet in 2006 at Wilfred Laurier University . There she also had the opportunity to study and perform with the Shanghai String Quartet, the Lafayette String Quartet, and violinist Martin Beaver.

She is currently living in Chicago concentrating on her passion for the development of new and lost works of music and is the principal violist of the Chicago Folks Operetta, violist with the Chicago Fringe Opera, Chicago Composers Orchestra, as well as playing and recording with the bands A Light Sleeper and Origin of Animal
